Deborah Acosta

0785e07Deborah Acosta has been called a number of things during her career – dark fiber and innovation maven, commercial lending officer, and economic development professional.  She refers to herself, however, as a passionate and persistent “dot-connector”, and credits much of her ability to inspire transformational change to her creative connections.  Ms. Acosta became San Leandro’s first Chief Innovation Officer in February 2013. She is a graduate of U.C. Berkeley, with 12 years of experience as a banking professional in San Francisco, 12 years as a City of Oakland Economic Development professional focused in International Trade and the Innovative Technology sectors, and 1.5 years as an entrepreneur and business development consultant.
